Terms
Updated October 6, 2026. The same terms are in the app, under Profile → Terms.
Using Huddle
These terms are the agreement between you and Huddle when you use the app or the website. By using Huddle, you agree to them and to the privacy policy. If you got Huddle from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence for apps applies too.
Who can use Huddle
Huddle is for people 13 and older (16 or older where that’s the local rule).
Anyone can be added to a group by name, with no account: a young child, a grandparent, a trip guest. Add only people you have a reason to, such as your family or the people you’re travelling with.
When you set up Huddle on someone’s own phone, you confirm they’re 13 or older (16 or older where that’s the local rule). Huddle keeps that confirmation. Don’t confirm it if it isn’t true: someone younger stays a name on your cards.
Your account
Keep your Google or Apple sign-in safe: whoever has it can use your Huddle. If you try Huddle without an account, it lives on that phone only, and is lost with the phone unless you add Google or Apple first.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account.
What you put in Huddle
What you add stays yours. You let Huddle keep it, show it to the people in your groups who may see it, and process it to run Huddle (for example, to turn what you say into cards if you allow smart cards), as the privacy policy says.
Only add what you’re allowed to share. Don’t use Huddle to harass anyone, to share anything illegal or hateful, or to send spam. Don’t try to get into other people’s groups or accounts, break Huddle’s security, or overload it.
Huddle can remove content or close an account that breaks these terms.
Money, reminders and smart cards
Huddle keeps track of who paid and who owes. It doesn’t move money, and isn’t a party to anything owed between people in a group.
Smart cards can get things wrong: check a card before you rely on it. Reminders and notifications can arrive late or not at all (a phone that’s off, a setting changed). Don’t rely on Huddle alone for medicine, safety or anything where a missed reminder could cause harm.
Huddle Plus
Huddle is free to download and use. Huddle Plus is an optional subscription for one person. It covers every group they run (as the owner or an organizer), and everyone in those groups gets it: as many groups as they like, more people in each, 300 smart cards a month (from the 1st of each month), which the subscriber can use in any group, and people in the groups they run use too, history kept for good, calendar sync and the family busy view, and every note paper. Without it, a group has the free limits shown in the app (for example, 30 smart cards per person, 3 groups you run, and up to 8 people in a group), which can change; the app shows them before you hit them. When a month’s smart cards are used up, what you say becomes one card you can edit until they come back, and adding a card by hand always works. To keep Huddle running for everyone, each person can also send only so many sentences to smart cards in one day.
Plus is monthly or yearly, at the price the app shows before you buy (it can differ by country). Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. It renews automatically for the same length and price unless you turn auto-renew off at least 24 hours before the current period ends; the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before. Turn it off or change plan in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions. After turning it off, Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
An introductory price, when one is offered, is for new subscribers only and renews at the regular price afterwards.
Your subscription is also under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula), along with these terms.
Plus belongs to the Huddle account that buys it or restores it. A group has Plus while one of its organizers has it; if they leave the group or stop being an organizer, the group goes back to the free limits, and nothing in it is deleted. Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com), not by Huddle.
If Huddle’s prices change, Apple tells subscribers before the new price applies, and asks for your agreement where that’s required.
Changes, and when things go wrong
Huddle will change: features come and go. If these terms change in a way that matters, the app will say so before the change applies. You can stop using Huddle and delete your account at any time.
Huddle is provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, Huddle isn’t responsible for indirect losses, or for losses caused by what people in your groups do. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you that can’t be taken away.
